It’s set to rain all this week here in NYC.
Unfortunately for us – we all have to walk in it. And unfortunately for me – I own no rain shoes. I typically throw on something patent leather (most likely of the 4 inch heel variety) and call it a day. But – someday – I’d like to invest in one of these beauties by Melissa.

As of tomorrow – I am on vacation from work. And I can’t wait!
Thursday morning, I am hopping on a plane with my lovely boyfriend and heading to Tennessee for a week. This means that tonight – I will pack. Which really means – “Let’s play a game called how many pairs of shoes can Mallorie fit in her carry-on sized luggage?”
I have high hopes. I’ve always been great at stuffing lots of things into little purses.
If the internet was my closet – here are the shoes I would bring. I’ll worry about reality later tonight.

This Spring, so far, the weather has been crazy. From beautiful 75 degree temperatures a couple weeks ago to a 41 degree walk to my subway train this morning – unpredictable is a pretty accurate description.
We all know that April showers are supposed to bring May flowers. Let’s hope they also bring warm temperatures. In the mean time – prepare yourself for precipitation with the below waterproof footwear. And then revel in pretty, floral eye candy for some positive thinking motivation.

It’s here! Spring weather has finally caught up with the calendar.
My rule is that if the temperature is above 50 degrees – open toe shoes are allowed, better yet – encouraged. Finally I got to bust out my new red strappy sandals that until now have been quietly and sadly sitting in the corner of my bedroom – waiting.
I went a little overboard with my eye candy research this week but I couldn’t help myself. Also – nice to see that my ankle strap obsession is still going strong.

Almost time for drinking on patios!
With 50 degree temperatures a fond memory of the past couple weeks and slushy, snowy wintry mixes an unfortunate reality of the present – I still haven’t taken my new red (beautiful) strappy heels for a spin.
I tried to cheer myself up with a thigh high stocking/sock double layer combo today – but alas, I am really just tired of wearing my winter coat.
As Spring officially begins in two days – let’s all close our eyes, wait for 11:11 and wish for warmer weather.
