So even though we are walking into fall here in NYC fashion week is reminding us that the beauty of spring is just a season away. So far I have seen a couple of cool hair trends for spring 2013 on the runways.
-Piecey Windblown Hair: BCBG and Peter Som were showing girls with a very relaxed vibe. This look is all about effortless hair, but of course with anything you gotta do a little work to get this chic downtown hair. To create the style roughly blow dry and part the hair askew before setting it in loose pin curls. To finish, tousle with styling wax and dust with hair powder to add volume and texture.
-Asymmetrical Partings: Richard Chai added a modern shape by including asymmetrical partings to the low ponytail. At first glance it looks like a regular pony, but look again and you notice something’s a little off. To get this look section off the top part of hair at ear level and smooth the rest into a flat ponytail at the nape. Release the upper section, flat iron to remove any kinks and do a deep side part in line with the arch of your eyebrow. Draw another diagonal part a few inches back and tuck these sections into the existing pony. Seal with gel for extra hold.
